Multifamily New Construction

Multifamily New Construction supports developers in building energy-efficient multifamily properties. To get rebates, the program encourages early engagement to align building design, equipment selection, and construction practices with program requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

  • New multifamily properties served by New Mexico Gas Company
  • Projects with multiple dwelling units, including apartments and mixed-use residential buildings with three or more attached units and up to six stories*
  • Participation by enrolled developers and approved trade allies

Rebates Available

Rebates are available for qualifying in-unit equipment and common areas, or central systems that meet program efficiency requirements. Measures and rebates may vary based on project design and scope.

*Products installed and projects completed by a registered multifamily participant between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027, are available for rebates through our 2026 program. Rebate applications must be received by April 30, 2027. See Program Terms and Conditions for additional details.
